Texas defeated Alabama on Saturday night to move into the top 5 of the AP Top 25.
The Longhorns moved up seven spots to No. 4 with a convincing 34-24 win over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. Alabama dropped seven places from third to tenth with the loss.
Georgia retains its No. 1 ranking with a win over Ball State, and Michigan retains its No. 2 ranking with a win over UNLV. Florida State is now #3 and USC is #5 after a big win over Stanford.
Ohio State is sixth, followed by Penn State, Washington State, and Notre Dame.
Ole Miss moved up three spots to 17th with a road win over Tulane. The Buffaloes moved up four spots with a 2-0 win at home over Mississippi State-Nebraska. Colorado is ahead of both Oklahoma and North Carolina, who both won on Saturday, in the AP poll.
